Good morning, Thursday and day 7 of NaBloPoMo! If you aren’t sure what that is then click through! The quick 411 is that it is a blogging practice for the 30 days of November. No matter what type of creative you are, working on a form different from the one you usually practice brings about more creative juices. And, who amongst you couldn’t use a bit more of the juice?! 😉 This time I’m not talking about Chardonnay! Chardonnay?! Are we talking about yummy buttery, dry, bold, perhaps Rombauer Chardonnay at 9am?! Mmmmmmmmmmm……..uh…..oh my…..
Phew! You almost lost me for a moment…Ok, back on track…(✿◠‿◠)♫❤
Today’s topic is your favorite music apps! Here are mine:
Musicnotes – from Musicnotes.com
Pianist – there are a bunch of piano apps, I just happen to like this one best!
Music and iTunes Store – since I have, love and worship my iPhone (currently saving for the 5S) these 2 are staples!
Voice Memos – also the built in app for the iPhone has an update that is out – of – this – world! You can now edit your memo! I use this incessantly for rehearsals with my curvy girls, Dangerous Curves! Now with the new edit feature, it may just become my MOST used app!
Video – not a music app, but I video myself and my students regularly, so it sits here in my music folder.
Tempo – my absolute fave metronome! for piano practice and singing it has the most choices and is quick and easy to use with lots of features.
iRealPro – for those who are true musicians, this is the Real Book, put together by real musicians. This is an absolute must and is almost my most used app. Currently, I have over 1500 songs in chart form and all keys! It even has a built in player for rehearsal! LOVE this app!
Spotify – is a wonderful app for music and yes, I do have the premium account which gives great flexibility. I have found so much great material on here and without having to purchase each song until I know I love it! Another one of this chicksinger’s faves!

Today’s thankfulness thought? OF course! I’m thankful for all the brilliant creatives who made these fantastic apps which make my music life, better, easier and smarter! You thought I was gonna say, Chardonnay, didn’t you?!
