How is it possible that this year is over?! I just can’t get over how time is FLYING by! What an amazing year, both professionally and personally, it has been for me.
From a much needed family vacation in Hawaii, to fabulous date nights with my husband, performances with Dangerous Curves and my band, The Special K Project, my studio Vocal Power Las Vegas has more students than ever, the release of Dangerous Curves sophomore CD “Star of Wonder”, I am so grateful and feeling so blessed to be living this life!
My goal has been to transition to a “mom-prenuer” so that I can set my own hours and be there for my son as he heads into school life. While some days are really tough and I’m working all day and night, I am finally starting to see the fruits of my labors!
Now, it’s time to set up my goals for 2013 and for some reason, it was not coming to me easily, like it usually does. I think some of that is because I follow a few inspirational ladies who consistently make me think just a little deeper, ponder just a little further. Kim Garst, Nancy Tierney and Christine Kane are 3 gals I highly recommend if you want to “up level” (that’s Christine’s word!) your life. I recently downloaded Christine Kane’s “Word of the Year” worksheet, and did my homework! I felt a bit lost on my word for about an hour and then, poof! Just like magic, it came to me! I am going to define and re-define this word in the coming days so it really soaks in! I definitely recommend doing the worksheet as it really gets your brain going. You can get the worksheet yourself by reading her most recent post. Do it! You won’t be sorry….
Now, simply because I can’t help myself AND I love my Noteshelf app, I did my regular NYE resolutions and goals and then did one for my word of the year. So…..Here it is!
Benjamin Franklin pointed out that, “The U.S. Constitution doesn’t guarantee happiness, only the pursuit of it. You have to catch up to it yourself.”
So happy to get to know you and Dennis this year. What great fun you guys are. (Bad grammar – but true.)
Love to hear you and the Curves girls sing… Happy New Year to you guys! Love you!
