World’s Collide, happily!
Today is one of those “world’s collide” kind of days, which, to be honest, is my favorite! The day started out with volunteering, (t’s reading week!) at school with my Little Man… we made a crown with his favorite word, Dinosaur!
Momperformer in full swing!
Next up is rehearsal with my curvy girls, Dangerous Curves! Not only do we a few gigs here and there, we have THIS coming up…holy toledo we are dang excited to be headlining at Sam’s Town! We will be featuring our newest show, “Women In Music” highlighting some of the fabulous females throughout the decades! Come on out and see us! All you need is a players card to get in! Sunday March 20th, at 1pm.
Later today, I’ll be teaching in my home studio and rehearsing for some of my upcoming solo work.
SO! What AM I singing right now?
The alto part of our Star Spangled Banner trio arrangement that our very own Lisa Smith did. I love this alto part! It’s unique and perfectly suited for me, thanks girl! We will be singing this at this 5K Walk.
Our newest jazzy, fabulous arrangement from one of our fave arrangers, Rob Hyatt of Fifth Avenue! His arrangements are so tough and challenging and AMAZING! I’m going to be working my booty off on this one! “This Could Be The Start of Something Big” Dangerous Curves newest song. Think you know it?? Think again!!
I am so excited to be a part of the premiere of Sample Dance! Founded by my friend, Greg Sample, Sample Dance is…well, it’s this! “Combining rich contemporary style, cutting-edge movement and holding true to classical dance foundations, SampleDance strives to enrich, educate and entertain audiences through multiple forms of dance. Representing Nevada as a world-class arts institution to the eyes and ears of locals and those around the world, we make it our mission to provide an unforgettable theatrical experience.” The song I’m singing and playing…”The Blowers Daughter”, cover by Amy Kuny. YAY!!! I freaking love this song! I can’t wait to put my spin on it, while maintaining the integrity of her arrangement.
Lastly, I am working through a set of really cool songs for a gig that I will talk about more later. I have a meeting on Saturday with my client so right now my focus is on one song…All the Days by Jann Arden… more on this later!!

yay!! thank you so so much!! I think you are hard working! I’d love to hear more about your process for songwriting. I’m def not a songwriter but I’m writing to shows and the actual process is difficult! Maybe there’s a similarity?
