I am one busy chick-a-dee. I currently hold 2 jobs in addition to being a Wife and Mom, and I am studying my art at a level I have not done in years. I’m not complaining, mind you, simply informing. I am preparing for being laid off from my night gig of 14 years. You can read more about that here.
As I am preparing to step into SAHM and Momprenuer, I am realizing just how tough that is going to be! The ONLY way to really do it and do it well, is to be completely organized from top to bottom. My closet, my office, my kitchen, my music. I need to be able to get up and quickly get dressed and get down to the kitchen for breakfast, to get my Little Man off to school in a relaxed and timely manner. Then, I need to start my day of writing, answering emails and rehearsing for any upcoming jobs. Even as I write these words and think these thoughts, it seems painfully obvious and it must seem so to you.
My Father was self-employed as a window dresser and artist and my Mother ran his business, kept track of his appointments and clients and prepared all the taxes. She was an amazing woman, who not only helped my Father run his business, but ran our home gorgeously. You could literally walk into our home ANY time of the day or night and it was clean, well put together and there was always something to eat and drink. The original Martha Stewart! That’s my goal, too!
In any case, the next 2 weeks are going to be about upping the ante on my organization. Today’s work was the closet…I put away summer clothes, I made a pile to donate and best of all, I can fit my chair! I have always thought it was super fancy to have a chair in the closet! Here’s my before and after…
Next up will be my new music studies into folders and finishing the rest of the music on my piano.
Today’s thankful thoughts…I’m so thankful for peaceful mornings spent in better-ing myself and thus, my family’s life.

I completely understand how you feel when it comes to keeping yourself and your home and business organized. Currently I am running my online store and looking after my toddler and it is becoming overwhelming for me to handle along with my new pregnancy..I am still hopeful that I will talk to you one day about my love and interest in music…
Hi Sneha! thanks for taking the time to read my posts and I KNOW you understand, especially as a Mom and business owner. I most definitely look forward to speaking with you sometime about your love of music. Let’s try to have coffee sometime… 😉
